DANCE MOVEMENT FOUNDATIONS
Postponed till after Jan 1
Beginners, and all levels welcome. Learn, review and enjoy dance principles and technique with proprioceptive awareness, alignment and
dynamic co-ordination. Leg and arm positions, movements and phrases used in many styles of dance; ballet, modern, jazz give context to gain kinesthetic muscular-skeletal awareness, to move more freely without excess tension or effort. Class will include dance exercises, floor work, phrases, and somatic practices. These foundations are where you begin and move throughout any dance class of any level.

Makers and movers-Let's peel some layers through active attention to your unique impulses, exploration of spacial and dynamic range, stillness and metaphor; you’ll enhance awareness and expression; Starting from wherever you are today. Experiential mapping, and somatic inquiry, guided and open improvisation, group and individual work.

Group class in the Pilates method. Learn the progression of the Pilates mat repetoire in this energizing class. All students entering Ensemble Pilates must have prior Pilates experience.

Share your work-in-progress, raw idea, or be an active audience- all movement practices welcome. A moderated discussion focusing on constructive feedback follows each showing. In addition to aesthetic and technical concerns, we'll explore various techniques revealing audience affective reactions.
Grow as an artist with a willingness to push yourself technically and emotionally- explore your creative process to more clearly communicate your vision.
OPEN MOVING
FRIDAY 4 - 6 PM DONATION $5 -$10 suggested
The space is yours to explore, create, play. Move any way you want: solo or interacting. Some warm up and choreography will be offered but it's your choice to be whether you join in or not. It's a time to dance with a community at the end of the week. Get your wiggles out, recharge, get inspired.
Open to anyone and everyone. Spread the word!
